Big picture

Summer Office Hours & Parking

The High School Office will be open:

June 8-9 from 7:30am - 3:30pm

June 12-16 from 8:00am - 12:00pm

The office will be closed over the summer and will re-open Monday, August 21.

Over the course of three weeks in June, the entire parking lot is being repaved. One entrance will remain open to the campus at all times during the repaving, but please be aware certain sections will be blocked off and the traffic pattern may change from day to day. Thanks for your patience as we complete this project and look forward to a fresh parking lot for fall!

Scrip

While scrip delivery will continue all summer, pickup locations have changed this year. The High School Office will no longer be open on Thursday afternoons, therefore, please pick up your orders at the High School Administrative Offices which will be open Tuesday-Thursday 8:00am-3:00pm. As usual, orders may not be picked up before 11:00am on Thursdays of the week you placed your order. If you have designated a parish for summer pick-up, your orders will go to the parish. Please direct any questions regarding the summer scrip program to Liz Uhlenbrauck at luhlenbrauck@smcatholicschools.org.

Graduation Gown Donations

If your child is the last in your family to graduate from SMCHS and you no longer want his/her graduation gown, you can drop it off in the bin outside the school office this summer between 7:30am-3:30pm. Thank you for helping out other students and reducing waste!

Work Permit Changes

The Department of Workforce Development is moving to an online Work Permit Application for parents that is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer, tablet, smartphone, or similar device. As a result, work permits will no longer be issued through the school office after June 16, 2023.

Parents can obtain work permits using these instructions. Payment is made directly to the department through the application, using a credit or debit card or by ACH direct withdrawal. Once the permit application process is complete, the Department mails a paper copy of the permit directly to the employer.

Host an International Student!

Host families do not need to have a student at SMCS. Please pass this opportunity along to anyone you think may be interesting in opening their home. There is a $600 monthly stipend paid to host families and a $1500 tuition credit for SMCS families for hosting an international student.

  • Host families provide a room (can be shared), meals when not in school, some transportation to school events and lots of love and support!
  • International students who come from an approved program have their own spending money and full health insurance.
  • Host families are eligible for a tax deduction for hosting.
  • Learn about another country as your student shares his/her culture with you!
  • Students are 15-18 years old. They are from Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
  • Students live as a member of the host family (not a guest) and participate in family activities, respect host family rules, and help with chores.

Please reach out to Kelly Beisenstein-Weiss if you are interested in hosting an international student for the 2023-2024 school year.

2023-24 SMCS Registration

Current SMCS families do not need to do anything to register for the 2023-2024 school year. If your family does not intend to return to St. Mary Catholic Schools for the 2023-2024 school year, please contact Anne Ledwith.

2023-24 tuition and grant information can be found here. Please reach out to Shelley Wautlet for information on tuition assistance and the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP).
