Patriot Notes
Welcome back. Thank you to everyone who helped to make Patriot Power Day and the tailgate a success. What a fun way to celebrate the beginning of a new year. Special thank you to the Patriot Pride committee for organizing the tailgate.
As we begin the year, we have a few notes:
+ Masks are encouraged for all students and staff who have not been vaccinated.
+Students can enter LHS starting at 7 AM through the administration doors using their ID. At 8 AM students will be able to enter the building from the Administration Door (A), West Door (B2), and the Glass staircase Door (K). These entrances will be monitored by an adult.
+All Juniors and Seniors will have open lunch. They must complete a form and have a guardian sign the form. This form can be found in our newsletter.
+Students will not be issued a locker. If a student wants a locker, the student should see a counselor.
+Once school has been dismissed for the day, students will be encouraged to attend a practice or leave the building.
+School starts at 8:20 AM Monday-Friday.
+Picture re-takes and Senior Class picture will be on August 31st.
+August 26th is the first day of class.
+Homecoming known as Red Letter Days will be Sept 13th - 17th.
Please continue to contact LHS with questions and suggestions. We are a team! Together we can provide a safe and healthy environment for all. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Marine Corps Reserve Association (MCRA) Outstanding Unit Award Presented to Lincoln High School MCJROTC
The cadets of Lincoln High School Marine Corps JROTC have been awarded the Marine Corps Reserve Association Outstanding Unit Award for the 2020-2021 school year. This is the highest unit-level award that can be presented to any Marine Corps JROTC program. The award brings with it the distinction of Naval Honor School, which is a ranked compilation of unit academic awards, community service volunteer hours, drill, air rifle and physical training competition participation and placements, scholarship money awarded, and U.S. military academy appointments earned. The MCRA is awarded to the top performing Naval Honor School in each of the four Marine Corps JROTC regions across the United States and its territories. There are currently 260 Marine Corps JROTC programs. Lincoln High School MCJROTC is one of only four units in the nation to receive this highly prestigious award. Congratulations to students and instructors!
