Trinity Connect
Issue 6 2nd May, 2019
What a Day!
Our Cross Country held on Thursday was such a spectacular day!
This is a year of many first's for me being new to our College and our Cross Country was another one of these. I have participated in running more cross country carnivals than I really want to acknowledge (living in denial of the number of years I keep racking up?!?!) but my first at Trinity and what a day it was!
On Thursday I was able to be a part of an amazing team of staff committed to making the day the best it could be for all of our kids. A staff team who worked together, supported our students and had fun doing it!
On Thursday I saw the incredible support of our parent community there to encourage and recognise our students. A parent community who helped when needed and supported all of our students, laughing and cheering along the way!
On Thursday I got to share a day with the BEST kids a school could ask for! Students, big and little, fast and slower, all doing their best, all encouraging each other and all being one! Students who accept one another and showed great sportsmanship.
On Thursday I got to see our college in action and I LOVED it! Trinity Lutheran College is a great school and I for one am so glad to be a part of it.

Deutschfest......it's not too late to help!
One Week to go! Thank you to those who have already signed up and are working hard to prepare for this fantastic event.
Please call the Office to sign up to help on the day. We are still looking for helpers for our BBQ and flower stalls, if you have an hour or so of time we would much appreciate your support. The more help the lighter the load on everyone!
Thank you in advance for your efforts to support our PTFA in their one big fundraiser for the year.

NAPLAN - Year 3, 5, 7, & 9
Monday 13 May - Wednesday 15 May is NAPLAN for all of our students in Years 3, 5, 7 & 9.
We encourage our students to do their very best for NAPLAN but also know that it is a snap shot in time, of how they are going on that day, at that time. NAPLAN results can be helpful as a college to inform us of overall trends and patterns in teaching and learning but should not be used as a tool to measure individual children's success. We encourage our families to support children sitting NAPLAN by ensuring students have a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast a know that it is not a time to be worried about.
For any questions please don't hesitate to contact your child's class teacher.
