Artists and Authors Fair
We had a drawing this morning and each child "won" a classmade book that is now theirs to keep. Their homework is to become an expert on that book in preparation for the artists and authors fair next Monday. Please have your child return the book to school this Thursday, with any props they'll need to set up their station. (more details in the homework folder) The book will be theirs to keep after next Monday.
Language Arts
Our two featured letters this week are Qu and Yy and our star words are take and off. Our stories this week are still about GROWING UP. In Baby Brains, a baby grows up too fast and becomes an astronaut as a baby. It's a pretty funny story, but also is so sad! It's a great reminder to let these guys be little!!
ZOO
THANK YOU to all the parents who served as zoo chaperones last week. Our trip could not have been any more perfect! The zoo was a bit crowded, but with cooler weather, plenty of chaperones, a birthday treat from Loche and a carousel ride at the end, I think the kids all had a great day!
