Artist of the Week Senior Daniella Pirrone is this week's artist of the week. Daniella enrolled in Studio Art. Her still life in pencil shows her successful observational drawing and application of values. Great work! | Track Standout Earns a Con Edison Scholastic Sports Award Congratulations to senior track standout, Joe Lavelle, for being awarded the prestigious Con Edison Scholastic Sports Award this week!! Joe is the 62nd Rye Neck athlete to win this prestigious award!!! | PTSA Spring Fair Logo ContestThe PTSA received over 50 submissions for this year's PTSA Spring Fair logo contest. DW & FEB students voted and the results are in! Junior Valeria Barajas placed 1st and freshman Aoife Bronnimann placed 2nd. Valeria's design will be used on all event correspondence and possibly t-shirts and gear. Both students will receive gift cards from the PTSA for their achievements. Congratulations! |

The PTSA received over 50 submissions for this year's PTSA Spring Fair logo contest. DW & FEB students voted and the results are in! Varsity Hockey Senior Recongnition Congrats to RNHS senior, Andrew Cavanagh. He was honored by our combined team, the Rye Town/Harrison Titans at their senior game. | Student Senate Formal Thank you to the Senators, Mr. Graziano and our chaperones for a fun-filled evening at last Friday's HS Senate Formal. The senators and Mr. Graziano transformed the dining hall with festive decorations. They even created a lovely photo booth area. A special thank you to our volunteer photographer, Mrs. EJ Flynn. Counseling Connection

REMINDERS:
- 11th Grade Parents: Please call Mrs. Williams at 777-4872 to schedule your junior post high school meeting with your child and their counselor.
- 9th & 10th Grade Parents: Please call Mrs. Williams at 777-4872 to review your child’s course selection with their counselor. If a parent does not schedule a meeting, the counselors will just meet with your child.
- SENIORS: CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES are posted on the bulletin board outside the Counseling Department and on the Rye Neck website on the High School School Counseling page. The website provides links to any online applications, and some of the scholarships are for Rye Neck students only! Additionally, please see Mrs. Kane for more scholarship information asap because some scholarship deadlines are fast approaching.

- Theater Weekly Update
- As part of our ongoing efforts to improve campus security, beginning 2/27 student IDs can no longer be used to unlock doors. From 7:30-8:30 am, students gain entry via the HS main entrance, E-corridor and C-corridor. Starting period 2, we will revert to a single point of entry via the HS main entrance. Additionally, beginning Monday, 3/13 all HS students will be required to wear their ID cards. We are in the process of printing updated IDs for all students.
- The 2023-24 District Calendar was approved at Wednesday's BOE meeting. It will remain linked under important links at the top of future newsletters.
Reminders:
- The dining hall will be closed from 9:15-10:13 a.m. to students to allow the dining hall staff to prepare for lunch service.
- Attendance notes should include student's name, grade, date(s) of absence, reason for absence, parent's name and parent's signature.
- Junior/Senior Day has been moved to 4/13/23.
- Students who drive to school, may not drive to the gym. You must park in the designated areas which include the gravel spots and/or the designated senior spots by the CSC/dining hall.
