After School Help
We are pleased to announce that we now are offering after school help on Mondays - Thursdays in the cafeteria from 2:45 - 3:45. There is no need to make an appointment; students can just show up and they do not have to stay for the entire time. Please see Mrs. Roach or Mrs. Jones for more information.

Town to Trails
Poultney wants to hear from our students. In front of the main office, there are cards and a drop box for you to fill out the questions regrading the recreation in the Poultney area. You can also do it online through tinyurl.com/Town2Trails or click on the link below.
Town to Trails is a community-driven planning process that builds on Poultney's 2021 RERC (Recreation Economy for Rural Communities) project. Together, we'll test ideas and create designs for top priority projects and improvements to move Poultney's recreation economy forward. Town to Trials is funded by a VT Better Connections grant.

Veggie Van Go - November 18
On Friday, November 18, from 10:30-11:30am, the Vermont Foodbank will have a distribution of free fruits and veggies at Fair Haven Union Middle & High School, 33 Mechanic St, Fair Haven, VT 05743, through their Veggie Van Go Program. All school families who do not have consistent access to fresh produce are welcome!
This is Slate Valley Schools’ first VeggieVanGo! The VeggieVanGo will be held the 3rd Friday of every month. This free monthly produce distribution event is open to families and/or caregivers that have students within the Slate Valley School District and Poultney Schools, as well as school staff and their families. There are no eligibility requirements and no reservations needed. Please see the flyer for more information.

The Deputy Sheriff currently assigned to Poultney has a new email address that people can report crimes, speeding, suspicious activity, etc.. People can remain anonymous if they wish.

TRAILBLAZERS: TRADES TRAINING PROGRAM
Vermont Works for Women's Trailblazers is a free training program to support the entry and success of women and gender-expansive individuals in construction and the trades. For participants, it is an opportunity to obtain or increase skills and certifications for jobs that are in high demand, and gain access to a viable pathway to employment. For employers, it is a way to develop existing staff and identify new candidates to fill critical job openings. Trailblazers is open to women and gender-expansive individuals ages 16+, no experience necessary! Students enrolled in high school and/or tech centers are encouraged to apply. Do you have seniors that need help completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2023-2024 school year? Vermont Student Assistance Corporation’s (VSAC) Outreach Counselors are conducting virtual 1:1 FAFSA Friday meetings via Microsoft Teams, on most Fridays between October 2022 and January 2023. We also have select in-person opportunities at the VSAC Resource Center in Winooski. See details, dates and sign up now through the sign-up page for FAFSA help from VSAC.
