We are excited to announce the keynote speaker for the annual NAS Grand Seminar presented in a live stream format this year! You may recognize Dr. Leana Wen as a commentator and medical analyst on CNN and as the former Baltimore city health commissioner. We hope you will submit questions for Dr. Wen and tune in later this month for her presentation.
Additionally, applications are now being accepted for both the Haig Scholars Program and Hauber Research Fellowship Program, both excellent opportunities for top students majoring in natural and applied science programs.

Announcing Grand Seminar keynote speaker, Dr. Leana Wen
Dr. Leana Wen answers your questions about COVID-19 and the future of healthcare!
Dr. Leana Wen is an emergency physician and visiting professor of health policy and management at George Washington University’s School of Public Health. She is an expert in public health preparedness and previously served as Baltimore's Health Commissioner. She is a contributing columnist for The Washington Post and an on-air commentator for CNN as a medical analyst. In 2019, Dr. Wen was named one of Modern Healthcare's Top 50 Physician-Executives and one of TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Please submit your questions for Dr. Wen to sciences@loyola.edu by noon on Thursday, November 12.
