On Jan. 14, please feel free to leave as soon as your afternoon duty is complete. We will need you back on campus by 4:30 PM. Below you can find your job assignment.
Tidy up, Tidy up, Tidy up the halls...
- Have something on them.
- Have something different than what was up on Art Night/Parent Orientation.
Also, I realize that we use the hallways for pull-outs, small group, or extra work space. Please straighten these areas and move the items out of view during the event...shove it in a classroom that is not being used for the night, if need be.
Congratulations to our 2016 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Light!
LEP! ELL! SIOP! ESL!
We have received information from your reflection forms. Common themes:
- Many would like to have a copy of the 99 Ideas and Activites for Teaching English Learners with the SIOP Model.
- Many of you need support getting ELPS into your planner.
- Some are interested in getting ESL certified and preparation for the test.
Please fill out this survey so we can attach names to action items and get things rolling for you!
Gradebook
Also, please remember that grades should be reflective of students' progress over the 9-week period. Students should not be receiving the bulk of their grades over the next week. Grades should be relatively evenly spaced out. A good goal would be at least one grade per subject per week. The gradebook should be a communication tool to parents that represents their child's progress with fidelity.
