High 5 Behavior
We have been reviewing our classroom expectations since returning from break. With the unpredictable weather it has been very hard for the kids to get back into the “normal” school routine and remembering appropriate classroom behavior. Please help me to remind your child as they leave for school to stay focused when they are here. Thank you for your help and support in this! Spring is just around the corner!
Coming up next week....
Reading -We will continue talking about the difference between fact and opinion. We will be identifying facts and opinions in various reading passages.
Spelling - New spelling words were sent home Monday for the test on Friday, January 30th.
Our sight words for the next 2 weeks will be:
Writing - We will continue working on persuasive writing. We will be using our persuasive skills to make book trailers to try and persuade others to read some of the Young Hoosier Book Award nominees we have been reading in class.
Math - We will continue working on those addition and subtraction skills, this time focusing on facts up to 20. It is still very important to be practicing those math facts at home.
Science - We will continue our first science topic about matter by exploring solids, liquds and gases.
