Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The students will not attend school on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend! We will hopefully resume a normal schedule that Tuesday minus delays and/or snow days. :)

Snow Make- up Days

School will be in session on February 17th to make up our first snow day that we had. We will also be in school on Friday, May 29th to make up for our latest snow day.

Skyward Verification Forms

Thanks to those of you who have returned the Skyward Verification Forms. If you have not please do so as soon as possible. These went home last Friday. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, please let me know.

Second Semester

You may start to notice that your child's work is getting a little bit more difficult in the next couple of weeks. We are really focusing on answering in complete sentences and responding to our reading through our writing. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you for all you do at home to support your child's education.

High 5 Behavior

We have been reviewing our classroom expectations since returning from break. With the unpredictable weather it has been very hard for the kids to get back into the “normal” school routine and remembering appropriate classroom behavior. Please help me to remind your child as they leave for school to stay focused when they are here. Thank you for your help and support in this! Spring is just around the corner!

Please keep in mind that we will be going outside for recess unless the wind chill is below 25. Make sure to send your child to school with an appropriate coat, gloves and hat for being outside 20-30 minutes everyday.

Things we are collecting...

There are several items that we are always collecting at school. Feel free to send them in whenever you need to.

  • all plastic bottle caps and lids for our buddy bench project
  • Boxtops
  • Campbells Labels for Education
