Principal's Letter
January 2021
Happy New Year! I hope this greeting finds you and your family safe and well.
As we approach the conclusion of the first semester, listed are some reminders for students:
· It is imperative for students at all times while in school and out in our community to maintain appropriate social distancing and to wear masks correctly. By doing so, will further ensure the overall safety of our learning community and beyond.
· Students that are connecting remotely are expected to have their laptop cameras on from the beginning through the conclusion of the lesson. It is expected that remote students are properly dressed and connect with their classes from their home in an appropriate setting.
· Students that are struggling academically are requested to take advantage of attending extra help with their teacher. In addition, students should take advantage of scheduling appointments with their counselor to structure and outline some manageable strategies for time management and tips to study.
· In the weeks ahead, counselors will be meeting with students to plan their academic schedules for the 2021-2022 school year. Here too, seek the advice and support from counselors in selecting courses and in designing a manageable schedule with a balance of courses to best prepare you for life after high school and/or college and careers.
· Get involved! Even though Schedule C extracurricular activities are meeting remotely it is important to be well rounded and explore the diverse opportunities that we provide – meet new friends and open your minds to those new opportunities.
In closing, I wish our students a successful conclusion to the first semester and wish everyone a healthy, happy and successful New Year.
