Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- Weekly data/collaboration meetings have begun-- we appreciate your dedication and willingness to participate in these meetings in order to continuously analyze student data and best meet the needs of our students.
- NWEA Testing will begin Monday, January 22nd. Please watch your email for the upcoming schedule.
- Please make sure you look at the Weekly Worksheet for any upcoming meetings or events. Please understand that we are doing our best to keep to this schedule, however, at times there will be unforeseen circumstances that cause us to have to reschedule.
- Make sure you are monitoring your students who have attendance punch cards and removing students die cuts when they are late or absent! --See Ms. Grossman's email for more details.
- ACTION: After school tutoring will begin February 5th-- 4th graders who need mandatory tutoring will take the first seats, if we have availability after that we will continue to fill seats with other students in need of tutoring (these students will be identified by teachers)
If you haven't already done so... PLEASE BEGIN NWEA GOAL SETTING WITH YOUR STUDENTS!!
Students should bring their goal cards to the testing lab with them.

Professional Development
- Wednesday, January 24, 2018 Professional Development: Building PD-- STAR
- Thursday, January 25th-- Session 2 -- Trauma Sensitive PD in the library from 4:30 to 5:30

- I can statements that align to the MO Learning Standard and are in student friendly language.
- Student task aligned to Missouri Learning Standard
- Small group and guided reading group instruction
- Continue working on incorporating DOK 3 and DOK4 questions into your lessons during guided practice and utilizing exit tickets that incorporate writing, explanation and evidence from the text
- Data Team analysis implemented into daily classroom instruction
Cultural Lever:
- Remember that everyday is a new day, we cannot continue to hold on to what happened the day before-- out students deserve a fresh start each day.
- Deescalating ourselves before responding or approaching a student who is being disrespectful or acting out in crisis mode.
