The Welsh people are an ethnic group and nation native to Wales and associated with the Welsh language. Wales is a country that is part of the United Kingdom and the island of Great Britain,and the most of people living in Wales are British citizens.

Language
The welsh language was once the predominant language spoken throughout Wales. While Welsh remains the predominant language in parts of Wales, most notably in the northern and western regions, in recent years English has become the most widely spoken language in Wales.
