Safety First!

How Elementary Students Can Use the Computer Wisley

How Can I be Safe?

It is just as important to be cautious on the computer as it is in every day life! Being safe on the internet means to never talk to strangers in chat rooms or websites or give out any personal information about yourself, including your last name. Never open or save a file to the computer without instruction from a teacher or parent. Make your passwords easy enough to remember but hard enough that someone cannot guess it. Always remember before logging on the computer to ask a parent for permission.

Who Can I Ask for Help?

Not sure if you are practicing safe skills online? Ask Mrs. Smith during computer class, your classroom teacher, or your parents! Check out these videos and websites for more helpful hints!
