Casual Custodians Needed

Do you want to work with the best team in the world? Of you course you do, who wouldn't. Good news! We are looking for casual custodians to help out Mr. Rye, Mrs. Samalla, and Mrs. Antazo when they need to be away. I hear it pays pretty good and the people you would work with are awesome. If you would like more information, please contact the school.

Snow Days

Unlike what you might see on TV or even in other provinces, Saskatchewan never closes its schools on "snow days". This is a safety issue as we would never want a student to wind up at school in inclement weather and have no one here to make sure they were safe.

Even when the buses do not run, our classes continue. We do not expect anyone to risk life and limb to get to school, but if it is possible we would like students to attend. We largely carry on regular classes for those who attend and expect that those who are not able to get in make up the missed work (high school students can use GO Time and Success Room).

Always check the bus cancellation form on our website. It is populated by the transportation department and is the most up-to-date source of information. If you have any questions regarding transportation, please contact the transportation office directly (306) 873 4555.

Would You Prefer A Paper Copy of Report Cards

Reports cards will be released Thursday, Feb 3, 2022, through Edsby. If you would prefer a paper copy, please fill out the form by clicking the button below.

Supporting Students Who Must Isolate

When students are required by health to isolate at home, PPCS will continue to support their learning at a distance.

  • The teacher will reach out to let you know the format of delivery (paper copies or digital).
  • The work provided may not match the work done in class, especially if the classwork is discussion-based.
  • TO avoid overwhelming you and your child, we will only send new work when completed work is sent back to the teacher.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the school. It is very important that students learning continues during periods of mandatory isolation.

New Website

If you are wondering when school breaks are, check out School Calendar under the Our School tab of our website.

Vaccine Requirement

As per NESD AP309, as of Dec 6, anyone entering the school, other than incidentally, will have to show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test in the last 48h. This includes things such as volunteering for events, being a spectator at a sporting event or special event, or any other reason that would have you interacting with students or staff for 15 minutes or longer.

Incidental visits, such as dropping off or picking up students, dropping off lunches, etc do not require proof of vaccine or negative test. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the school.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Extra Curr Travel

We are happy to announce that extracurricular travel has resumed.

Athletes of the Week

Our female athlete of the week is Amia Kirkland. Amia plays on our Sr. Girls Volleyball. She is a great leader on the team, her calm demeanor is contagious, which levels out the entire team.

Our male athlete of the week is Gavin Henry. Gavin plays on our junior boy's basketball team. His love for the game is evident through the 100% effort he gives at every practice and in every game. At noon, Gavin can often be found shooting hops in the gym.

Congrats to both of our athletes, thank you for all that you do for our school community.

We Want Fans in the Stands

We are so happy to be able to invite fans to our home games once again this year. We ask that...

  • You only come if you are feeling well.
  • Provide proof of vaccination or a negative test (48h).
  • You wear a mask at all times when in the building
  • Sanitize your hands upon entering and frequently while in the building
  • Complete our contact tracing list upon entry
  • Show our Bears how awesome they are by cheering loudly (albeit through a mask).

New COVID Protocols

There has been some confusion regarding some of the new COVID protocols in the last few days. I wanted to take a moment to clarify some of the points. Please always refer to the most recent communication from NESD or PPCS.

  • Students who are positive (PCR or Rapid Test) must isolate for 5 days or 48h after symptoms, whichever is longer.
  • Students who are exposed DO NOT have to isolate regardless of vaccination status unless they are symptomatic.
  • We continue to encourage families to use the rapid tests (we have lots), but you are no longer required to report the results to us.
