No School for Students on September 23rd

This is just a reminder that on September 23rd students do not have school. This is a professional development day for our teaching staff, so our students get a three day weekend.

Financial Aid Parent Information Night

**The Financial Aid Process For College Is Changing**

Families of seniors can now apply as early as October 1st, 2016 for college financial aid. Jeff Johnston, Co-Chair of the Outreach Committee for the Ohio Association of Financial Aid Administrators will be presenting an overview of the financial aid processes on September 27th at 7PM in the Auditorium. Important topics covered during this meeting include completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to obtain financial aid assistance for college, types of monies available to families, and associated timelines. Parents of 12th graders should definitely plan on attending to obtain this valuable information.

Eva Pate medaled Bronze at U.S. Figure Skating Solo Dance Nationals

Junior Eva Pate won the bronze medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Solo Dance Nationals last weekend. The competition took place in Newark, Delaware, and she competed in the Pre-Gold Pattern Dance Division. Eva, congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment. SHS is proud of you!
