Emancipation Proclamation

The civil war started in 1861-1865. Abraham Lincoln was the president at that time.

People thought slavery was wrong so they started the civil war.

13th Admedement

The 13th Amendment declared that neither "slavery nor involuntary servitude except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted

14th Amendment

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified on July 9, 1868, and granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed. In addition, it forbids states from denying any person "life, liberty or property, without due process of law" or to "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” By directly mentioning the role of the states, the 14th Amendment greatly expanded the protection of civil rights to all Americans and is cited in more litigation than any other amendment.

15th Amendment

The Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the federal and state governments from denying a citizen the right to vote based on that citizen's "race, color, or previous condition of servitude." It was ratified on February 3, 1870, as the third and last of the Reconstruction Amendments.
The 13th 14th and the 15th amendment affected the slaves by by letting them be free.
I would say no slaves because it is unnessary and mean and crule.
