EDpuzzle & eduCanon PD
Instructor: Lisa Ali
Teachers, are you interested in building your lessons around a video?!
EDpuzzle and eduCanon are multidisciplinary tools that can be used in every subject area, as long as the teacher is willing to embrace 21st. century tools. These video editing tools enables teachers to create diverse, edited, lessons based on a video. Not only can you crop the videos, you can add questions and audio notes to the video before playing it for your students. By the end of these professional development sessions, teachers will be able to successfully use EDpuzzle and eduCanon in their classrooms to both deliver lessons and assess their students.
What is EDpuzzle?!
EDpuzzle is a resource that allows teachers to take a video, and crop it. They can add their own voice over existing sound, and insert questions for assessment. Data is collected from the quizzes and is saved in the teacher’s dashboard. If the teacher chooses, they can export the data.
What is eduCanon?!
eduCanon is a free service for creating, assigning, and tracking your students' progress on flipped lessons. eduCanon allows teachers to build flipped lessons using YouTube and Vimeo videos, create questions about the videos, then assign lessons to their students. Teachers can track the progress of their students within eduCanon.
