What It's All About

Welding engineering is a field that involves some of the finer points of metallurgy, fabrication, and assembly. A welding engineer is basically the backbone of many builds because they make them framework for everything else. Id be interested in this field because I want to work with my hands. And wood and metal working have always been an interest to me.(mostly because I've wanted to make a suit of armor since I was in 3rd grade)

What It's Like

Most welding engineers work as technicians by building, fixing, or and working with metal structures, along with working on manufacturing lines and in industries. To become a welder you need a bachelors of welding engineering most likely from Ohio State who is the best when it comes to welding engineers or by doing the certification test. The average Salary for a welding engineer is 73,000 annually.
