Week 6, Term 1 2022
11/3/22 - He Pānui Wiki Ono, Whānga Tuatahi
Kia Ora Koutou (Hi Everyone)
Every week we roll through another set of changes - thank you all for being so supportive during this process. Last night I shared via the app the latest information from the MoE/MoH regarding isolation requirements and contact tracing. We will continue to do this as updates come to hand.
Welcome to the Richardson whānau. Aurora (Y7); Ruby (Y6) & Morgan (Y3) started at school this week. It is wonderful to have you as part of 'Team Gladdy' and we hope you enjoy your time with us.
We also have our first positive student case - that brings our total to 3 (1 staff, 1 contractor, 1 student). It is likely case numbers will increase from here on in. Please monitor for symptoms and test if feeling unwell.
Mask wearing continues to be a key line of defence in the middle/senior rooms. Please see that you are sending your children to school with a supply of masks. Masks are readily available at supermarkets and The Warehouse. We do have masks for emergencies but are not in a position to supply the whole school. This is important, especially over the next couple of weeks. We have suggested a packet of masks in school bags would be a good idea.
Values Focus This Week
Buses - we feel your frustration on a number of different levels. We are trying everything we can to remedy the size of the buses being provided, confirmation of the pick up times, extension of the Te Kopi route and other matters. We are actively trying to get solutions to all of these problems and understand the urgency of the matters. Updates will go out via the app as and when they become available.
Have a lovely weekend everyone,
Ngā manaakitanga,
Belinda Bunny

Help for whānau who are self-isolating
If you know any whānau who need extra support while they are self-isolating because of COVID-19, Work and Income may be able to help.
Visit the Work and Income website and use their online form to let them know how they can help.
Many people will be able to self-isolate with help from whānau, family and friends, but there is help available for whānau who need it.
If help is needed, they may be able to get:
- money to pay for urgent and essential costs, like food, medicine, and some bills
- things that are needed to be delivered.
