Cooper Mountain Memo
September 21, 2020
Dear Parents and Community of Cooper Mountain,
I think we all just experienced a first week of school like none of us could have ever imagined. Although there were bumps along the way, the majority of feedback I got from parents is what an amazing job teachers are doing. And I could not agree more. Cooper Mountain teachers have risen to the occasion once again. They have done so with grace and perseverance. I could not be prouder of them or of you and your children.
I anticipate there will continue to be lots of bumps in the road, this week and moving forward. Please know that we are all working hard to make sure you all have what you need. If there is anything you are in need of, please contact me or our counselor, Cassie @ email@example.com.
As always, continue to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Cougar Run This year’s Cougar Run is going virtual 9/30-10/4. Families can choose to run/walk in their neighborhood, on a fun hike or wherever works. Make it a fun family adventure. Remember to set up your Pledgestar page at https://pledgestar.com/coopermountain and forward those links to family, friends and social media.
Are you submitting Cougar Run donations for employer matching? If so, you must submit a receipt for the donation to be added to your student’s Pledgestar page and be eligible for recognition. Please send a copy of the receipt to Alia.Hedges@nike.com with the student’s name, teacher and grade. If you are unable to submit digitally, please drop off the receipt at the T-shirt pick up on 9/29, in a sealed envelope with the student’s name, teacher and grade, written on the outside. Employer matching is also a great way to stretch those donations since many companies like Nike and Intel will match donations made to Cooper Mountain PTO.
Due to your generosity last year we were able to install fans in the gym, lay out bark dust and gravel in those muddy sections, install the gaga ball pit and many other classroom enhancements. This year we are also hoping to use some of the funds raised to help support our community.
It is a high priority to make sure every student has a working device as the school year begins.
If you still need a device, please email Meghan Newton at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange this.
