*~Attendance~*
Please keep the state of our campus in mind when you choose to keep your child at home for the day. Of course, dire illness and family emergencies are legitimate excused absences, so we do not expect you to send your child to us if there is an extenuating circumstance. Just be mindful of the effects of allowing your child to stay home when they could be present. The more times he/she is not on campus, the further the student will fall behind academically.
Guideline to keep in mind:
- If you need to check your child out of school during the day, please do so between the hours of 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Off-Campus Lunch
- Parents/guardians must sign the permission slip for Off Campus Lunch privileges.
- Students must have completed and returned all of their Title I documentation, including the Socioeconomic Form, and all signed documents required in the Student Packet.
- Students must not be on either academic or disciplinary probation.
- Students may leave and will be responsible for their own action and safety during such period.
- If a student returns tardy from lunch, the first incident will result in an after-school detention from 4:10 PM – 5:10 PM, as designated by the applicable teacher. The second incident will result in revocation of such privileges for a period of six weeks. The third incident will result in permanent revocation of privileges.
- If students arrive tardy from lunch with food in their hands, the food will be confiscated, and a parent called immediately. Students in this scenario will not be allowed to take their food to class. Instructional time is preserved at all times.
- Students will be issued a laminated Off-Campus Lunch Privileges card with their student ID number on it. Students must show their Eastwood ID badge and their current Lunch permit card to the person on duty at the front gate before leaving campus.
- Replacement lunch permit cards cost $3.00.
- Campus administrators reserve the right to revoke off-campus lunch passes for excessive absences or disciplinary and academic concerns that are not aligned with campus expectations.
FREE Internet Hot Spot!
The Sprint Foundation provides the district with a donation to provide free internet access to high school students (grades 9-12) who did not have high-speed internet at home. The district will continue our partnership with the Sprint 1 Million Project to provide internet hotspots to eligible high school students enrolled in a PowerUp campus. Eligibility for the donation will be determined through student survey responses indicating no internet access at home. The survey is available in English and Spanish.
Students who are eligible to receive the donation will be notified by the district and provided with additional details during the fall 2019 semester. Parents and students are not financially responsible for the donation. Eligible students will keep the mobile hotspot throughout their high school career (four years) at no cost to the families. The hotspot and charger must be turned in prior to leaving the district or graduation. To identify those students in need, students MUST complete the application survey. The link is accessible by clicking the button below.
