From the Principal
As our Parent/Teacher conferences come to a close, I want to thank you for taking an active role in your child's educational growth. This partnership is imperative in helping our students reach their achievement goals. There is still a lot of learning ahead of us in order to finish the school year strong! We continue to focus on our McKinley school-wide goals in the areas of reading, math, attendance, and self-regulation. These goals are infused in all that we do daily at McKinley!
You may also have had the opportunity to discuss with your child's teacher about Transitions Summer School. Summer School registration is open now and the deadline for registering is April 15, 2020. Data shows that those who are able to attend summer school are better at maintaining their progress from the end of the school year to the beginning of the next. Students will participate in four hours of fun (July 6 through July 24) in enriching activities designed to help maintain their recently obtained skills. I hope you'll consider registering your child for this rewarding experience.
