I AM ACCEPTED
Today, students learned about the meaning of the statement: "I Am Accepted" during an all-school assembly. Students watched skits of different ways you can show others they are ACCEPTED and included. Students also played a game called "Sardines" (similar to "Hide & Seek" with a twist). This game emphasized the importance of accepting others even in different situations. In addition, Be the I in Kind Awards for September were handed out.
Throughout the month of October, we will focus on the bible verse: "Accept one another, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God." Romans 15:7

FDL County Health Dept. Flu Clinic
Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
The Fond du Lac County Health Department will be offering flu mist (intranasal) at Shepherd of the Hills on Wednesday, October 18 after Mass. Flu vaccine is recommended every year by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This program is provided at no cost to you.
Students in grades 3K-12 will be able to receive the flu vaccine during the school day without a parent being present. If you feel your child will not be cooperative, or if you feel your child could use staff assistance such as helping to hold your child, please check the box on the consent form. We will plan to have increased staff and/or volunteers for our elementary school aged children.
If you would like your child to receive a flu vaccine:
- Please fill out the consent form
- Return the consent form to school by Monday, October 9 2023.
Vaccine Information Statements are available in the school office or at https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/vis/vis-statements/flu.html
- The Intranasal FluMist will be the primary vaccine method this year UNLESS your child needs the injectable vaccine due to a medical condition. Please be sure to fill out the consent form accurately for this reason.
- Children less than 9 years of age who have not received at least two doses of flu vaccine in the past, should receive two doses of vaccine this year. Your consent gives permission for both doses, if needed.
- We will return to your childβs school at least 4 weeks later if a second dose is needed.
If your child is absent on the day we come to your school, there are two opportunities for your child to receive influenza vaccine.
- On Saturday, October 21 at the Fond du Lac YMCA or Childrenβs Museum of Fond du Lac from 8am-3pm no appointment necessary. Vaccinate children 6months through 18 years of age.
- On Thursday, October 26th at the Fond du Lac County Health Department at vaccine clinic from 7:30am-4:30pm Appointment required. Please call the Health Department at 920-929-3085 for more information, or to schedule an appointment.
