From the Principal's Office...
Greetings!
Our vocation is how we are called to show our love for God to the world. This week, each of our classrooms has taken the time to reflect on what it means to be called by God. They have explored the vocations of the priesthood, diaconate, sacramental marriage, and religious life.
One of our students shared with me the importance of the priesthood as a vocation. It is only through our priests that we can meet at the altar and take part in the Eucharist.
This is especially important in this year where Bishop Bradley has asked us to pray for our priests in a special way so that they may be inspired by the Holy Spirit to guide and lead each one of us closer to Christ.
Have a marvelous weekend!
St. Therese, Sts. Cyril and Methodius, pray for us!

Virtue of the Week November 14-20: Magnanimity
Prayer: Sacred Heart of Jesus, You loved us even to the point of death. Give me a big heart! Give me Your heart! Help me to love others with all my heart!
Listen to the Virtue Minute to learn about St. Paul Miki.
Living Nativity, December 14 from 6-7:30 pm
It is going to take many hands and heads to pull together such a dynamic representation of the nativity. If you can help, please reach out!
Carpentry and Building: We need a manger backdrop for the scene that can be used out of doors.
Animals: We would like to incorporate live animals into our tableau. Do you have sheep? a donkey? small cows? We need someone to help us round up some animals.
Costumes: While we have quite a stash of costumes, we need someone who can come into school and help us match sizes and roles.
Scheduling: Students will be able to sign up to portray a person in the pageant for 20-minute segments. We need someone who can help us set up a schedule and recruit people to bring our nativity to life.
Cookies and Hot Chocolate: While the nativity is going on outside, we will need cookies and hot chocolate for warming indoors. We need someone who will help us round up some Christmas cookies and volunteers to man the hot chocolate station.
Please reach out to our school office if you can help! We look forward to adding this exciting piece to prepare to celebrate Christmas.
Annual Pie Sale
Help Needed
The virtual auction during Catholic Schools Week is a big hit and raises money for our Home and School group. They support so many of the activities and extras throughout the year. In order to have donations for the auction, we need to start now. Our urgent need right now is for someone to put together the donor letters. We have the letters, envelopes, and stamps. If you are willing to help make it happen for our school, let us know!

Collection for the Veteran's Home
Benchmark 3.3 Every student participates in Christian service programs to promote the lived reality of action in service of social justice.
We are currently partnering with St. Therese Church to collect items for the Veteran's Home. This is another way for us to address another tenet of Catholic Social Teaching as we seek together the common good and well-being for all, especially the poor and vulnerable. Through this project, we are also fulfilling our duty as citizens by giving back to those who have served to protect our democracy. We have included a list of items needed and not needed. Items may be dropped off at church or school.
