Thank You to Everyone Who Contributed to the Staff Appreciation Meal

Site Council wants to shout out a big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the Staff Appreciation meal! The teachers and staff really appreciated the food, fun and fellowship they had before the rush of conferences. You’re helping to build a culture of family engagement at our school by showing our Horning staff how much we appreciate them. You ROCK!

We’d love for you to share your ideas and ambition to promote a positive environment for our Hawk Nation learning community! Please contact us anytime at horningsitecouncil@gmail.com or visit our web page for more information.

Better yet, join us for our next meeting! It’s on March 14, from 6-7 pm in the iCenter Hemingway Room. Park on the second level, off Wolf Road, and enter through the cafeteria doors. B.T.W., if childcare is a concern, you can bring your little ones. There is plenty of space in the iCenter for all of us to peacefully coexist!

Spring is on the way which means another exciting season of Track & Field is right around the corner. All of the coaches are very excited for the season to start and we know the students are as well.

Students can sign up for the track team during lunch in the week before spring break. If your student is interested in joining they should sign up and get the packet of information at that time. Practice starts on Tuesday, April 2nd for all athletes. There will be an informational parent meeting after practice on Thursday, April 4th at 4:00 pm.

6th grade track and field is going to be offered starting on Friday May 17. The track season for 6th grade is short introductory season that consists of three practices and one meet at Carroll University against the other middle schools in the city. There will be more information about the 6th grade track season at a later date.
