Gates Mills Gazette

May 20, 2022

Dear Gates Mills Elementary Families,

This week was filled with fun events. We celebrated kindergarten graduation with a special ceremony. Thank you to all of the family members who were able to join us during this memorable celebration. Our fifth graders had the opportunity to visit the Middle School this week. On this special visit they were able to tour the building, learn about the different clubs, sports and school trips, hear about scheduling opportunities and heard some important middle school advice/tips.

On Monday, May 23rd the entire building will participate in Field Day! Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for this fun filled day. All students should wear tennis shoes. All of our activities will take place outside so be sure to send your child with a bottle of water.

Please feel free to call our office at (440)995-7500 or email me at if you need anything.

Keep Smiling,

Mrs. Ravida

Clap Out and All School Picnic

Clap Out - we hope you can join us as we clap out our 5th graders. This is an annual tradition at Gates Mills Elementary School. At 11:00 AM we will line the school hallways and playground as we announce our 5th grade students by name. They will walk through the hallways with pride one final time as we all clap and cheer for them. All parents are welcome to join this event, even if you do not have a 5th grade student. The more the merrier!

All School Picnic - immediately following the 5th grade clap out we will have our annual all school picnic. The school will be providing lunch for all of our students and the PTC is sponsoring lunch for our families who want to join. Please be sure to complete the form that was sent home last week and turn it in to the school office. If you need another form please let your child's teacher know. You are able to take your child home with you after the all school picnic if you chose to do so.

We look forward to celebrating the last day of school with everyone!
