All student belongings and yearbooks were distributed this week. If you did not pick up your student belongings and/or yearbook, please email Mrs. Pustay at bpustay@cbsd.org to set up a pick up time. We are hopeful that all items can be picked up, if they have not been already, as soon as possible.
Virtual Field Day - Friday, June 5th
Dear CBSD Families,
Field Day is one of our favorite days of the year. It is a day of celebration, fun, and fitness. In honor of our students and families, we have created a unique opportunity to stay connected as a school community through the participation of a Virtual Field Day event. We are excited to share a variety of events to support the Central Bucks School District’s Elementary Field Day. We are grateful to have a variety of resources from OPEN, a National Physical Education organization dedicated to support Physical Education programs around the globe to support this day. All Field Day events are designed to be completed indoors or outdoors, using common household items. You do not need to purchase any specialized equipment or supplies. Simply enjoy the Field Day events with the supplies you have at home. While Field Day in the past has been a competitive day in nature, this school year, we will not be keeping score. Our goal, this school year is to provide family fun events to celebrate the enjoyment of physical activity and the end of the school year.
On Friday, June 5, students from all 15 elementary schools will have the opportunity to participate in the events of their choosing. If this date does not work for you and your family, please enjoy this event at your own convenience as the events will be released in your child’s Physical Education Seesaw on Monday, June 1.We encourage students and family members to wear their school colors/school spirit wear for the events. All are welcome to share field day photos and videos from the event through their Physical Education Seesaw, district social media sites, or a school specific avenue provided to you if you so choose. Please be sure to tag #CBSDHPE.
Again, Field Day events will be posted in your child’s Physical Education Seesaw account on June 1. We hope you can use this opportunity as a fun and meaningful way to be physically active together. We cannot thank you enough for guiding your child(ren) through these challenging times, and we look forward to a time when we can return together as a school community.
Best of luck and have fun,
Elementary Principals

6th Grade Promotion
Titus Elementary's 6th Grade Promotion will take place on Wednesday, June 10th in a virtual format. All 6th grade families will receive an email at 6:45pm from Mrs. Pustay with a link to the virtual promotion video. Video link will also be posted on the Titus Website. All 6th grade teachers will follow up the next day with a live event for their particular classrooms to celebrate their students individually.
We hope that you and your families can watch the virtual promotion together on June 10th. Even though we cannot be together at Titus, we will be together celebrating our 6th graders and all the hard work they have accomplished during their time at Titus Elementary.
We are so proud of all of our 6th grade students and wish you all the best as you move on to Tamanend. #TitusPride #TitusStrong
Virtual Move Up Day and Student Placement for 2020-2021
Dear Titus Families,
Many of our Titus traditions and routines have been interrupted due to the school closure. This includes our Move-up Day procedures. Specific class placement information will not be complete prior to the scheduled end of the school year; however, we still want to engage students in the excitement that comes with Move-up Day. To introduce students to their next grade, our teachers created a Flip Grid video message that includes a warm greeting and information about engaging activities that are unique to the grade level. This message will be sent to students on Thursday, June 11th and posted on our website.
On Tuesday, August 4th, you will be able to access your child’s teacher/placement for the 2020-2021 school year. More information about how to access the information through the Parent Portal system will be shared in July.
We know that a virtual Move-Up Day does not replace the joy of changing classrooms and meeting next year’s teacher, but we are hopeful a preview of the curricular themes will give students a welcoming introduction to the 2020-2021 school year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bridget M. Pustay
Instrument Rentals and Summer
Hello instrumental music families!
As the school year comes to a close, many of you have reached out with questions about what to do with your instruments. We encourage every student to keep their instrument over the summer! It is best for your child’s musical development to continue playing over the summer – plus certain rental companies have special promotions for renting during this time! If you plan to keep your instrument, there are no further steps required!
If your child is certain that they do not wish to continue playing their instrument next year, they will be able to return their instruments in the coming weeks. Below is a schedule of rental drop-off times and locations for both Zeswitz and Russo.
Parents who are renting instruments and are planning on returning them for the summer:
Families using RUSSO MUSIC:
- CURBSIDE PARENT DROPOFF: Representatives from Central Bucks will receive instruments in the Tohickon parking lot.
- Tuesday, June 2nd 12pm – 2pm Tohickon parking lot
- Thursday, June 4th 12pm – 2pm Tohickon parking lot
Families using ZESWITZ MUSIC:
- CURBSIDE PARENT DROPOFF: Representatives from Zeswitz will receive instruments in school parking lots.
- Wednesday, June 10th 9am – 3pm TAMAMEND parking lot
- Thursday, June 11th 9am- 11am TOHICKON front parking lot/bus loop
We both enjoyed our time with your children this year and are looking forward to supporting their musical growth in the fall. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you and stay well!
Miss Vuocolo
Mr. Branchfield

CB Cares and CBSD Present an Online Parent Positive Event - Watch On-Demand May 15-May 29
Access the event ON-DEMAND at:
https://www.bigmarker.com/screenagers-starhouse/SCREENAGERS-NC-STREAM-Central-Bucks-School-District
With COVID-19 giving many of us downtime at home with our families, we invite the Central Bucks community to take this opportunity to watch SCREENAGERS NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience. This special edition includes a brief introduction by the filmmaker Dr. Delaney Ruston, plus a pre-recorded Q&A with her after the film, where she responds to some of the most frequently asked questions about the topics covered in the film. Filmmaker and physician Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience—a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
In Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER, we follow Delaney as she finds herself at a loss on how to help her own teens as they struggle with their emotional wellbeing. She sets out to understand these challenges in our current screen-filled society, and how we, as parents and educators, can empower teens to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility, communication savvy, and stress resilience.
We witness Delaney as she finds her way from ineffective parenting to much-improved strategies. We follow other personal stories of families from an array of backgrounds with a spectrum of emotional challenges. We also observe approaches in schools that provide strategies relevant beyond the classroom setting. Interwoven into the stories are surprising insights from brain researchers, psychologists, and thought leaders that reveal evidence-based ways to support mental wellness among our youth. The impact of social media and other screen time is incorporated in all the topics raised in Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER, how it may be impacting our teens’ mental health, and what we can do to help foster youth in the face of struggles.

Social/Emotional Wellness Fridays
Welcome to our Friday social/emotional lesson this week. It is a reminder to stay grounded and focused on the positive. We are almost at the finish line. Hang in there and take time to enjoy the little things.
Specials Assignments
It is hard to believe that in just over three weeks, it will be the end of the 2019-2020 school year. We understand that distance learning has brought multiple challenges for families.
This is just a reminder that your child’s special subjects are mandatory. Specialists' lessons are located in the Seesaw App. If your child has not participated, they will receive blanks in their progress report, along with a comment stating that they did not send in any work to the specialist during the distance learning time period.
We understand that some families have done the best they could and possibly not focus on specials. We just want to make sure there are no surprises when your child receives their progress report in June.
If you need assistance, or have questions about your child's work, please feel free to reach out to the specialists directly.
Thank you!
Lunch Distribution
Titus Elementary is a site for lunch distribution every Monday and Thursday from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Lunches will be distributed from the Titus Bus Loop. Please pull into the bus loop, pop your trunk, and then pull up to the bus lobby doors. Mr. and Mrs. Pustay will place the lunches directly into your trunk. You can then pull forward to close your trunk if it does not close on its own.
Please remember that lunches are available for ALL children in the Central Bucks School District. We are happy to add some breakfast options as well during lunch distribution.
Farmer's Market at Barclay
CBSD Farmer's Market at Barclay food distribution event will take place every Wednesday at 4pm. Open to all CBSD families in need of a little extra food support. The event will continue until resources are fully distributed. Lots of milk, eggs, veggies, canned goods, and bread available.
Barclay Elementary School is located at 2015 Palomino Drive in Warrington. All traffic must turn right off of Palomino. Participants are asked to please not block area residents' driveways when approaching the pick up event.
CBSD Building Facilities and Grounds
Under Governor Wolf's directive, all schools in Pennsylvania are closed until further notice. This closure includes all stadiums, athletic facilities, playgrounds, and parking lots. Our facilities and grounds will remain closed and secured during the governor's stay at home order. Our local police would like to remind us that everyone needs to stay off school properties during this school closure.
Thank you!
