Park Hill Football Game Information:
Dear Park Hill Families,
On Friday, Park Hill South High School’s varsity football team will host Park Hill High School at our district stadium. When our two teams play each other, it is often a major community event, so we wanted to make sure you have a few reminders to help make this event safe and welcoming for all:
- Tickets for athletic events are $5 cash at the door for adults and $3 for students.
- All high-school and middle-school students must have an official school ID badge to enter games and events.
- Any students who are not yet in high school must be with an adult to attend games and events. Middle school and elementary school students will be asked to remain with the adult for the duration of the event.
- Note that any student who leaves the game will not be allowed to re-enter.
- Park Hill South will be the home team.
- Students and families from Park Hill South, Lakeview Middle School and Walden Middle School will park in the lot to the west of the stadium, next to Congress Middle School. They will all enter from the west gate and sit in the home bleachers.
- Students and families from PHHS, Congress Middle School and Plaza Middle School will park in the lot to the north of the stadium, next to the baseball field and the back of PHHS. They will all enter from the northeast gate and sit in the away bleachers.
For additional safety precautions, we always have school administrators at our athletic events and activities, and we will have law enforcement officers from both the Platte County Sheriff’s Department and/or the Kansas City Police Department at most of our events.
We look forward to hosting our students, staff, families and guests in our community schools and facilities. Thank you for helping us gather safely and positively.
Hope to see you soon,
Kelly Wachel
Director of Communication Services
Back Into Routines!
We are a month into school now, but are your students still struggling to get back into the swing of things after summer? A new Morning or Bedtime Routine could help! Research has shown that kids thrive on dependable routines – when they know the same thing happens each day. The new school year is the perfect time to set up a routine to help things go more smoothly at home and set your student up for success during the day. Here are some quick tips to help you out:
- Discuss with your student what their morning, bedtime and getting to school routines will look like. Clear expectations help limit surprises or meltdowns.
- Set times for ending ‘play’ and starting on the routine. If play time ends at 8pm set an alarm on your phone for 7:55 and give a 5-minute warning signal.
- Posting visuals with times and clear steps can help them increase their independence while completing their morning or bedtime tasks. (see Visual example Below)
- Praise them for steps completed. This will not only build their self-confidence but help to reinforce the positive behavior.
Walk in the Park Hill Homecoming Parade with us!
We will meet by 4:45 in parking lot of Prairie Point- parade starts at 5:00. It is recommended that people park at the end of the parade route (east parking lot of Park Hill High School) and walk to Prairie Point due to the extremely limited parking at Prairie Point.
Bring candy to throw and homemade signs celebrating Tiffany Ridge to carry - you can even wear a costume. The Homecoming theme is "There's no place like home(coming)" and is based around The Wizard of Oz.
Screen Sanity Workshop
Park Hill School District has partnered with the nationally acclaimed Screen Sanity program to bring you an expert-led 60-minute workshop with content about your student’s digital health and safety. Topics include:

1st Annual Tiffany Ridge PTA Trunk or Treat
We are looking forward to a night of fun for our students to wear their costumes and have some fun together! How can you help? Click on the link below to sign up to either participate by reserving a car spot to pass out candy at the event OR simply donate a bag of candy! If you choose to have a car spot, you can decorate your "trunk", add games, wear costumes or simply pass out candy. Businesses are welcome to participate as well if you have a business that would like to pass out treats!
September Curriculum Connections
Check out the linked Curriculum Connections below to see what our Timberwolves will be working on in each subject area during the month of September! We want to share the learning topics at all of the grade levels so that you are familiar with what topics and content are taught this month! Your child's teacher is always happy to provide more details should you have questions!
