A Note from Mrs. Halligan
Howdy Parents-
We had such a great first full week!!! The bells were ringing all over the place and so were the smiles of the Bears. Our Kindergarten Bears officially met their teachers and walked to their classrooms like pros. My heart beams with pride walking the halls! I am so proud to be a Birmingham Bear.
Your child should have brought home a new Birmingham shirt today. We love to provide each student and staff member a shirt to show that we are all one big family. These shirts can be worn anytime throughout the school year but definitely on celebration days, field trips, and spirit days. This year's theme is "Ride for the Brand". The front of the shirt has Birmingham spelled using different logos, each that has a certain standard of quality just as our Birmingham brand. The back of the shirt has the number one built of many words. These words came from a post at the beginning of the summer where I asked you what one word came to mind when you think of Birmingham. All of these words were used to make the one. So you "helped" design the shirt. :) We are asking students to wear these shirts on Monday to kick off our Boosterthon fundraiser.
Have a great weekend!

The Birmingham Brand
Our school brand is built on tradition. Our brand represents honor, trust, commitment, decency, and most importantly, CHARACTER. We want you to be proud of Birmingham. We want you to RIDE FOR OUR BRAND. When you ride for the Birmingham brand, you are not a stranger. You are someone who helps to make us who we are. You are family.
We would like to invite you to show your pride by proudly displaying our new campus logo sticker on the back window of your car. You should have received a sticker on Meet the Teacher night. When we spot each other at stoplights, we can share in the pride of being a Bear.
We look forward to seeing all of the cars with our campus brand.

Bus Procedures
All students in grades K-2 will not be released at the bus stop unless a parent or parent designee is at the bus stop. If there is a parent designee they must have this on file at the transportation department. A designee can be the child’s sibling but the parent must have that on record for us to adhere to this.
