Bernie Sanders 2016

Feel the Bern!

Why Bernie?

Bernie Sanders was the first independent elected to the U.S Senate & is currently the longest serving independent in U.S Congressional history.

Issues

Growing the Economy

If elected, Sanders wants to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by the year 2020. Sanders also wants to put $1 trillion dollars, over the course of 5 years, to help America's infrastructure, and put people to working rebuilding our crumbling roads, bridges, public transport systems, and dams.

Education

One of Bernie Sanders' goal is to make America's public college tuition free, stop the Federal Government from making a profit off of student loans, and help students use need based financial aid and work study programs to make college debt free

Health Care

Bernie believes that Medicare should be required to use its bargaining power to negotiate with drug companies to lower price, legalize the import of prescription drugs from Canadian pharmacies, and completely prohibit deals that keep generic drugs off the market.

Immigration

Bernie does not believe that building a fence or wall across the Mexico border is an effective or humane way to prevent immigration, as president Sanders will sign the DREAM Act into law to offer the opportunity of permeant residency and eventual citizenship to young people who were brought to the United States as children & expand President Obama's DACA program to include the parents of citizens, parents of legal, permanent residents, and the parents of DREAMERs, we need to pursue polices that unite families, not tear them apart.
