Wellness Wednesday
Find ways to live well via exercise, hobbies, and interests. Staying physically healthy during this time of social distancing can help maintain your emotional wellness. Here are a few suggestions for ways you can be both physically and emotionally healthy while we all follow guidelines of social distancing:
- Take a walk without your phone. Focus on your breathing, take slow, deep breaths. Smile at a neighbor. Keep walking. Notice the breeze, the sounds around you. Other people out for a run or a walk. What did you notice in your neighbor that you haven’t noticed before? Find a place to sit down and write about this walk.(Curran, L., 2013. 101 Trauma Informed Interventions.)
