End of School Year Address
6/3/2020
A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
As another school year comes to an end, I want to take a moment to congratulate our students, parents, and staff on their incredible efforts. The 2019-2020 school year presented unexpected challenges, but we found a way to rise above them by remaining positive, adapting to ever-changing circumstances, and continuing to achieve our goals. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. It truly makes a difference to know we are all in this together and supporting one another.
I would like to say a very special congratulations to our Class of 2020 Seniors and parents. You are the perfect embodiment of all that Orlando Science School stands for and we are so proud of each one of you. We know how hard you worked to reach this milestone in your lives and are extremely excited to see what this next chapter has in store for you. Congratulations again!
Recently, a Parent Survey was sent to all families requesting feedback concerning the upcoming 2020- 2021 school year. Thank you to everyone who has responded so far. We received roughly 1000 submissions the first day which shows strong involvement and support by our families. So far, we have received roughly 50% participation and would like to reach 100% by the deadline of this Friday, June 5th . So if you haven’t already, please take a moment to complete the SURVEY. Remember that a survey should be completed for each student, not just one per family. Results will be shared next week.
To all those who have generously donated to the COVID-19 Prevention Budget for our campuses, you have my sincere gratitude. Your dedication to helping us provide a safe environment for our students and staff is very much appreciated. To date, we have received $1,324 in donations for our school system. Contributions can still be made via SCHOOLPAY.
Lastly, I strongly encourage everyone to respond to the 2020 Census. It is vitally important to complete this process to ensure the State of Florida and, more specifically, Central Florida is accurately represented. Submissions can be made quickly and easily. Please visit the official website for further details: https://2020census.gov/
Thank you all again for another wonderful school year.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. And enjoy your summer.
