Hey Centerview Families,
I am fortunate to be principal at Centerview Elementary. Just sayin’! There isn’t a day that has gone by over the past three years when I haven’t pulled into the parking lot, backed my truck into the same spot, gandered at our school and felt fortunate to learn and grow where I do each day.
Each day is a welcomed opportunity to impact our next generation in a manner which allows each of our students to feel valued, inspired and have a sense of belonging. I seize the opportunity, as does the Centerview staff, to learn and grow alongside you, your kids and ensure equitable learning for each of our students.
Let’s continue to connect, engage and support one another as we grow and learn. The courage we show will make a difference for students, despite the challenge, the adversity, or conflicting self-interest in our surrounding community and society today. At Centerview, we will care for each member of our community, advocating for and empathizing with others and valuing diverse perspectives and beliefs.
Some news to note:
- After school programming is picking up with options for art and sports this spring. See more information in the newsletter.
- Summer child care registration is also open and the summer theme is Olympics. If you’re looking ahead to summer and need child care for school-aged children through 6th grade, check it out.
As we move forward, my lines of communication are open. Let me know if you’d like to chat on the phone, WebEx, or stop in. I’d appreciate talking and learning together as we finish up the school year on a constructive, positive note.
I wish you good health! Let’s continue to learn and grow together.
Take care,
Mike
Updates for Extended Flex Learning families
Greetings,
Spring is a busy time of year for Spring Lake Park Schools students, families and staff. We’re coordinating between school buildings and distance learning classroom and each week there will be important updates. Please take time to read the entire newsletter. This week, see information about summer child care registration.
There continues to be tragic and emotional events happening in Minnesota, as well as in the nation. Please remember we have teams to support students through these challenging times, which includes resources available for families to use at home.
If you have any questions or concerns as we move through this final trimester, please feel free to reach out to me.
Take care,
Kimberly Fehringer
