Report Cards and 3rd 9 Weeks Awards

Report cards for the 3rd nine weeks were mailed yesterday (K-1) or today (2-4). Be sure to look for those.

I did not want to simply cancel the award ceremonies, so I will be hosting them on the LPS Facebook page using Facebook Live. I will take advantage of the opportunity to do them in the early evening so perhaps even parents who are working will get to attend. :)

Big picture

Looking for a way to help?

Elevate Life Church is hosting an Emergency Blood Drive with Carter Bloodcare on April 3rd from 8:30am – 2:30pm.

Blood supplies are very low because of higher than normal need combined with thousands on donation cancelations. Blood Donation is considered an Essential Service and therefore, even if we are still under the Denton County and City of Frisco Shelter in Place Order, participants can donate blood.

  1. Donor safety is first and Carter is taking state mandated precautions to make the donation experience a quick and safe experience.
  2. Donations can only be made via an appointment. Walk ups will not be accepted. Make an appointment using this link.
  3. When you arrive on April 3rd, you will check in from your car.
  4. You will remain in your car until Carter is ready for your donation.
  5. At that time, you will go into the Carter Bus and donate.
  6. You can speed the process and increase social distancing by completing the quick screen using this link or downloading their app.

Each pint of blood can save up to 3 lives. There are 144 slots to fill… This is over 430 lives we can help save, and donations take only a few minutes.

Chromebook Issues?

If you have any need for Tech support for the chrome books that have been provided, please contact your student's teacher. The teacher will need:

  • student name
  • Chrome Book Cart and device number, AKA Secondary Cart 6-2.19 (which is on a sticker on the back of the checked out Chromebook)
  • what the issue is with the device, and
  • what type of charger the it has (USB-C, ASUS, or HP BlueTip).

The teacher can then request that a new Chromebook is available for check out. Chromebook pick up will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00-12:00 weekly at the SECONDARY CAMPUS OFFICE. It will only be available once the request is put in by the teacher. Please do not just show up to campus.

Virtual Field Trips and Activities

Closed Campus - Contact Info

The campus is closed, so email will be your best form of communication.

Your child's teacher would be the best contact initially, but I am available to help in any way that I can: mcreamer@lpsfrisco.com. Office hours for teachers will be 1-3pm Monday-Friday.

There is no need to email attendance notes to the office; you can simply communicate with the teacher if a child is too sick to work that day.

Our campus website will also be a great source of information. I have added a section above the Weekly News link with games we have been teaching the kids during PAWS as well as Bedtime Stories.
