Notes from the teacher
Hello Parents!
Report cards have been updated with 3rd quarter grades and should be ready for you to view on Skyward. If you do not remember how to log on or forget your password, please call the front office and they can help you. Remember if you are seeing P, that means your child is still progressing, which is a positive, and S means that they have mastered the particular skill and are ready in that area for 1st grade! If you see an N, it is something that your child needs improvement in. I will be sending the sight word lists home again next week for those who still need more practice mastering the first 3 quarters. I will let you know the ones they know/don't know so you can help out from home. Once they are more comfortable with their sight words, the progression in reading definitely speeds up! I can't believe we only have 9 more weeks of school left!
Next week we will be doing a lot of practice getting ready for our Career Day coming up on the 29th. Thanks to those who have sent their child's costume in already. Feel free to send in at any time next week, but definitely by Friday if possible. If you don't know what your child is representing, please let me know!
This coming Monday, it is Rock Your Socks day to support those with Down Syndrome. Please have your child wear their craziest socks and show their support!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Discovery News
Hello wonderful parents! This is Mrs. Foust with our news from Discovery. Kindergarten classes continued our Jump Rope for Heart practice this week. We have tried traditional jump ropes, ball ropes, and long ropes. Ask your child about his/her favorite way to jump! Students also created a dot rainbow for art this week. It was fun to see all the colorful rainbows! Next Friday is our actual Jump Rope for Heart day! Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
