Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

We are on to another essay!
This week we have started an essay on our bucket lists. In addition to the character traits essay, this will eventually become a part of a larger autobiography your student will write this year. Each student made a list of fifteen things he or she would like to accomplish before he or she dies. Five of them would be fairly easy, five would be harder (take years), and five would be much harder long-term goals (might take decades to accomplish).
The students then had to choose ONE goal from each category to write about in their five-paragraph essays.
The rough draft of this essay will be due for peer review on Monday, October 17th, and the final draft will be due on Wednesday, October 19th.
Please ask your student about this assignment to make sure he or she is ready for Monday!
