This past week, as first-semester classes met for the last time…
HHS hosted a renowned clinical psychologist, Dr. Nadja Reilly, on Tuesday night; the program, “How to Handle Anxiety, Depression & Your Kids,” attracted a large crowd of more than a hundred parents and addressed one of the most important issues of our time.
Students in our new Introduction to Piano classes delivered a terrific recital on Wednesday night. The performances delighted a standing-room-only crowd and highlighted the impressive skills these students have developed over the course of the semester.
The HHS School Council held its monthly meeting on Wednesday and continued work on the School Improvement Plan.
Students in our Chinese classes helped to set the stage for the Lunar New Year with a “dragon parade” through the corridors on Thursday.
Members of the “Hospice Helpers” Club continued the production and delivery of “no-sew blankets” for people at the end-stage of life and in Hospice Care. The first-year club has so far created and distributed more than twenty blankets for members of the Hospice Community. Students who wish to join the effort can visit the Google Classroom (code - ggtnsp5) and/or attend the next meeting in the counseling office (Transition Room) on Thursday 1/26 at 7:30 AM.
