A Note from the Principal

Dear Audubon Eagles,

It is hard to believe we just completed our 3rd nine weeks. We have seen so much growth in our amazing students both socially and academically. We love that so many of our students have returned to brick and mortar, and transitioned so quickly to being back in the building. As we get ready to finish the year strong, it is important to remember that daily attendance and getting to school on time are key to ensuring your child’s continued success.

Just a reminder that all students must follow the district dress code. Hats and bandanas are not permitted and once on campus the hood on hoodies should not be up. Students have outside time each day, and closed toed shoes should be worn for safety. Students should not be wearing slides.

So many of our students have cell phones, please make sure that we have a cell phone contract on file. These can be picked up in the front office. This is a great time to remind students of the school cell phone policies, and discuss cell phone app safety. Please remind students that cell phones should be turned off and in backpacks once the student is on campus.

Pre-registration packets were sent home and should have been returned. These packets help us to prepare for the upcoming school year, so please make sure to fill them out and return them as soon as possible. If you did not receive one, please stop by the office to pick one up.

We look forward to a wonderful 4th quarter and continuing to support your child to reach his/her fullest potential.

Fun Events Around School

Mrs. Tripp's Kindergarten class is growing a Pizza Garden!

3rd-5th Grade enjoyed a fun Virtual Field Trip with the Orlando Science Center where they got to build rollercoasters. 6th Grade did an awesome Virtual Field Trip where they pretended to be CSI and solve a mystery. 3rd will be attending another Virtual Field Trip with KSC later in the month. Field trips may look different with COVID, but our Title One Team is ensuring our students still have cool experiences.

The 3rd quarter PBIS incentive celebrations included exciting Virtual Field trips to the Brevard Zoo and coding with adafruits and Minecraft.

Ms. Whitmore and Ms. Esmond's classes are participating in the BAC 2021 Virtual Color in Motion Arts Festival where students will complete Arts and Crafts Activities.

Important Reminders

Students need to arrive at school wearing a mask. The number of masks we are passing out in the morning is increasing daily. For the safety of all, students are required to wear a mask the entire time they are on the bus, and while at school when they cannot safely socially distance.

The front of the school is a designated area for Buses and VPK drop off. Only students who are in the VPK program (and their siblings) are permitted to be dropped off in the front bus loop. VPK drop off begins at 7:45.
