SPELLING BEE
Shout out to Mr. Kincel and our two 2nd Place Winners in the Uplift ART Show Thiago Rodriquez in Kindergarten and Andrew Montenegro in 3rd grade
It's not always about 1st Place, but it is definitely about IMPACT!
Below is an e-mail that Mr. Kincel received about one of our scholars who did not place! In my eyes She most definitely WON! See her artwork below. We are so proud of Ava Bennet and MR. KINCEL for what he does with all of our scholars!
I am reaching out as number one I wanted to share with you about the 5th Grade Submission (“Women of The Future”) that you entered. I was stopped several times by observers, parents, etc. regarding this artwork. They wanted to know who the artist was, if this artist places, etc. There were so many compliments and words of praise that I wanted you to know so that you can pass this on to your scholar. I even took a picture of it and several people spoke so highly of her art piece as well. S/O to you as well for being so awesome!
Also, there was one person extremely persistent regarding this artwork that she wants to purchase it. She explained that even if the scholar didn’t want to sell it that she would be willing to provide the supplies necessary to duplicate it. I told her that I would reach out to you & that it would have to be okayed by the parent.

Standing by Front Doors During Dismissal Time
YMCA
Please know that during dismissal times there are no releases for YMCA. You must call before 3:15 for early release or you will have to wait until dismissal is over.
Constant Reminders
Parents Morning and Dismissal drop off/pick-up
- Parents if you pull up at 7:55 please get out and sign your scholars in. Please don't just send them in it holds up their time to go to class as we then have to sign them in. If you sign them in they can go inside.
- At dismissal please DO NOT attempt to stand by front doors this space must be with staff and scholars only. We want to ensure no one walks off with one of our scholars.
Pick-Up
- Scholars must be picked up by 4:00. School gets out at 3:30. On Wednesdays its 1:50 and scholars need to be picked up at 2:20. We are very accommodating and even allow for grace times. However, we have scholars who are being left until after 5:00. This is unacceptable. Our faculty and staff are people as well and have families and children in other places to get to as well.
- Most importantly it is neglect for scholars to be left that long after school. It's unfair to your scholar, they have had a long day and don't like being left behind. Please know that moving forward we will be contacting authorities for the consistency of this behavior and it will effect next year enrollment acceptance.
- Advantage pick-up starts 4:00 Late is 4:15 on Wednesdays it at starts at 2:30 late pick-up fees begins at 2:45
