URGENT UPDATE: Virtual Virginia Expectations & Administrative Withdrawals

Happy Monday, RVA Owl Students & Families!

Please note that our RPS middle school and high school scholars who are enrolled in the Richmond Virtual Academy and are taking Virtual Virginia courses are expected to complete several milestones to avoid administrative withdrawal from the program (see below).

By Wednesday 9/22/21 all students must:

1. Login to Genius and access each of the VVA courses

2. Communicate with each teacher

3. Complete the VVA orientation

By Friday 9/24, all students must:

1. Complete 4 assignments within each course

If these requirements are not accomplished by the end of the school day on Friday 9/24/21, the student will be dropped from the VVA course(s) by the Virtual Virginia team, and school counselors will need to prepare the student to return in person. You should have also received two additional notices regarding this from me today through Virtual Virginia and through Remind. We will also post this information on our website to ensure all families are informed:)

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your assigned Virtual Virginia mentor, your school counselor, and/or RVA Assistant Principal Mr. Deonta Gail (dgail@rvaschools.net). As always, we remain happy to help:)
