Turkey Trot Challenge:
Congratulations to 2nd and 3rd Grades as they won the Hawks Cafe challenge with a total of 22 feathers! Students have worked so hard to demonstrate their positive school expectations in the cafeteria and we have noticed an improvement in behavior amongst all grades! Thank you all for your support! Mrs. Asgharzadeh will notify 2nd and 3rd-grade parents that their students will have free seating next week via a bright arrow message. Please let Parisa know if you have any questions.
Lunch and Learn:
Please see the updated list below of students who will be participating in the Lunch and Learn Friday, November 30th. These are the students whose parents have given consent. Students will take their lunch to the data room during their normal lunch time and eat with district personnel and Parisa to answer questions about sense of belonging at Holmes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Cheers For Peers:
Continue to encourage students to use this google form to recognize their peers or adults at school that they see following our school-wide expectations! They will be recognized with a certificate made by Ms. Bennett and announced in the lunchroom!
SAIG (Social Academic) Groups:
The PBIS team is excited to start SAIG groups as a Tier 2 intervention for some of our students here at Holmes. These groups will be formed based on minor and major referral data and students will be invited to participate via a parent letter. Mrs. Asgharzadeh will also call students parents prior to the letter being sent home so they have two opportunities to learn that their students will be in the group. Please read the attached parent letter and view the SAIG website for more information on what skills will be taught during these Social Emotional groups. The first two groups will start on Tuesday and are being led by Ms. Bennett. I will notify teachers in an email if any of their students are being invited to the group. As always, please be in touch if you have any questions.
Thank you,
PBIS team
