During this Thanksgiving season, the staff and students of Doyle Elementary School plan to share the spirit of this time of warmth, caring, and love with families from our local neighborhood. We would like to share this project as an entire school community and create Thanksgiving food boxes for our families who need extra support. Through this cooperative effort of Doyle’s staff, students, parents and community members, we can realize again the valuable lesson that real joy in life comes from sharing.

The Thanksgiving Share collection will be

from Wednesday, November 9 to Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

If you would like to donate a gift card for a family or make a monetary donation that would be used to purchase food for the collection, please send the donation in an envelope marked “Attention Ms. Kowalchick / Thanksgiving Share” and include your name and contact information.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the holiday shoppe on Dec 5-6th and 6th grade volunteers to help with stocking the tables and wrapping presents. We also need donations of wrapping paper, tape, bows and gift bags. If you willing to help, please sign up below.

We are also looking for local vendors that would like to sell their goods at the Holiday Shoppe, but they would need their school clearances and a certificate of insurance.

As we celebrate the holidays, the American Red Cross encourages donors to give something that means something – a blood donation!

• Holiday fun can push blood donation to the bottom of the to-do list. Winter weather and seasonal illness can also impact the blood supply.

• Give a gift, get a gift! All who come to give Nov. 28-Dec. 15 will receive a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card by email, thanks to our partners at Amazon. Terms apply, see rcblood.org/together.

Dear Doyle Families,

We are looking for a Fall Fest Coordinator for next year's Fall Fest and what better time then starting now. If you would like to get involved and run a Doyle event then we would love to hear from you! You would have autonomy in choosing a location and deciding on plans for the Fall Fest, but you would not be alone at all. You would have all the members of the DHSA board to help with any questions, concerns or issues that arise.
