Tips for Instructional Coaching
Three tips for Pedagogy Based Coaching:
- Ask Questions - build trust, don't have to be the expert, can learn together, coaching template to guide the conversation
- Uncover the instructional goal - start small, as Vicki Davis says, "innovate like a turtle".
- Decide how class time will be spent - modeling, co-teaching, centers. etc.
Landing Page
Want a one stop shop? A landing page for all your resources? A way to group them by categories or grades? There are lots of tools out there, my favorite is Symbaloo.
Coaching Chronicles/Weekly Tips
Communicate with your school by sending a weekly update. Include tools, topics, images, videos, quotes from teachers and students. Think about adding upcoming events, such as conferences, seminars. Teachers love freebies. Simple K12, Twitter are great places to start.

Calendar
You will be a popular person at your school. A good way to keep up with your schedule is to have a calendar booking system. There are many out there.
I use Calendly. It is free for one calendar. Another good one is You Can Book Me, it's $7 per month.
