Dear Parents

This school year is flying by, we can't believe the end of first quarter is already next Friday. Thank you to all the parents that were able to come to Parent Teacher Conferences last week. We had a great turnout and we enjoyed meeting several of you. Whether you were able to come to parent teacher conferences or chose to do them at home thank you for taking the time to see what your student is doing and helping him/her set goals. We have some amazing teachers and students that are doing great things in our building.

This past month our students have been focusing on kindness for PBIS. It truly puts a smile on our face to see the interactions of our students with other students and staff. We will be recognizing two students from each grade that have been nominated by their teachers for showing and exhibiting kindness in our school. November we will be working on Positive Attitudes. More to come!

Thank you for all you do to support our students!

Sources of Strength

Fremont Middle School is excited to reintroduce Source of Strength (SOS). Peer leaders are kicking off the first SOS activity by spinning a web of kindness during the month of October. Monthly, peer leaders and advisors will design activities for the whole student body to participate in. Students will learn about a different source of strength each month and how they can be that source of strength for someone else or utilize the strength when they are in need. The vision of Sources of Strength recognizes that many strengths are more powerful than one and the goal is to unite and mobilize these strengths in individuals and communities. The mission of peer leaders is to spread hope, help, and strength to every corner of the community.

Cold Weather

The cold weather is upon us. Please make sure your student dresses appropriately for the weather as they will be outside before school, during lunches and then after school waiting for the bus.

Hawk Pantry

We are in the process of putting a pantry together to support our students. With cold weather upon us and prices soaring we have many families struggling. We at FMS want to help address the needs we see many facing. Starting Monday at the Girls Basketball game we'll have boxes outside the gym for donations. Please considering donating and helping us stock our pantry. We are looking for clothing, socks, underwear, pants, shirts, coats, and personal hygiene items.
