Time to return chromebooks

Time to return chromebooks

We are starting to collect chromebooks from all Lackamas students grade Kindergarten-5th grade. We ask that you return your chromebooks as soon as possible and don't forget the charger. Students needs the chromebooks in class to complete work and for upcoming testing. Chromebooks will stay at school the remainder of the school year and will not be going home.

SBA Testing grades 3-5

This spring, students in grades 3-8 and 10 will take the Smarter Balanced tests in math and English language arts. Students in grades 5, 8, and 11 will also take the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS).

The results from these tests will give a more accurate picture of whether students are on track to be ready for college or career. For students in grade 10, the Smarter Balanced tests can also be used as a graduation pathway.

Most students will take the tests online. Our school is scheduled to take the tests

Lackamas Volunteer of the year

Lackamas Volunteer of the year

Lynn Boyle was named the Lackamas Volunteer of the year and recognized at the Yelm community schools board meeting. Lynn is new to Lackamas as a kindergarten parent this year. She has helped put together Boo grams, holiday grams, and then became Secretary in December. Recently during our book fair she hosted a table to help recruit members. We appreciate her enthusiasm and willingness to jump in and help where needed.

Thank you for not sending your children to school sick or when they have medicine that would mask COVID symptoms. If your student has had a COVID test and are waiting on results please do not send your student to school until you receive a negative test.
