Tech Tip Tuesday
Google Sites for that "Poster Project"
Too Many Materials?
Glue, poster boards, scraps of paper everywhere, begging the secretary for more copies to print the kids type notes.....over it?
What if you had the kids create a website? I know....I know. You don't even know how to create a website, and I am suggesting you have the students create one....I'm not crazy I promise. Google Sites over the years has become extremely easy to use and might even be a skill the students can use in the future. Watch out you might even learn how to make one yourself!
Getting Started
- Open Drive
- Select "NEW"

Things to Know
More detail found at Ditch that Text Book Website
- You can click and drag content where you'd like
- Students can edit together
- Already built in theme for ease
- Can embed content right into site like youtube videos
- Displays "nice" on all devices
- You can add interactive Google files (slides, docs, sheets, etc.)
- You can share their project to the world if you'd like and not just your class
I was going to make a tutorial but found this one that is "much shorter" than the one I'd make
