Dear Parent,
I hope you and your family enjoy the three day weekend!

- The fish had a hook stuck in its gill.
The students will reciting the following poem on Thursday and Friday, January 21-22.
Winter
I like winter, I like snow
I like icy winds that blow.
I like snowflakes, oh so light,
Making all the ground so white.
If your child has a toboggan (hat), a neck scarf, and a coat; please allow them to bring these items on the days they recite the 'Winter' poem.
Thank you!
AR Reading
Math
For the next two weeks in math, we will be learning addition strategies, such as using our doubles facts to help us add and subtract.
Most of my students already know the 1-6 doubles, but a few of my students still do not know their 6-10 doubles. Below is a link to both videos; please have your child practice their doubles, if they are still not proficient with this concept. It is important to have a solid foundation in order to enhance your child's ability to move on with adding/subtracting 'doubles plus/minus 1'.
