Nominate a Top Teacher from the Columbia School District
Every year the Jackson Magazine hosts a search for the Top Teachers in Jackson County. Thank you to the Hurst Foundation and the Jackson Community Foundation for sponsoring this program. The top five teachers will receive a combination of $9,000.
There are nomination forms available in each school office. You may also complete your nomination online. The link is attached below. Information for Parents-I Wish Assembly
On September 29th, students in grades 9th-12th at Columbia Central High School will participate in the I Wish Assembly. This assembly is being presented in collaboration with the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative in Jackson County. The assembly will feature a locally produced video titled, “I Wish”, that shares the stories of local teen parents and has a strong message of teen pregnancy prevention. The assembly will also include live testimonies from teen parents in our community who hope to discourage other teens from making the same decision at a young age. We hope that you will consider allowing your child to participate in this important assembly.
If you do not wish for your child to participate, please send a note or call the high school office before September 29th.
