Staff Bio
Tara Curless is in her second year at Schmucker as an 8th grade Wellness teacher. Before coming to Schmucker, Tara taught preschool-8th grade PE/health at Queen of Peace. Tara received her education from School City of Mishawaka (Go Cavemen and Kingsmen :), is that possible?!) and Bethel College. While at Bethel Tara was a member of the softball team that made it to the NAIA national tournament all four years. Also, while at Bethel she met her husband, Garrett, who was on the baseball team. Tara and Garrett have been married since June 2013. They have a bucket list to attend every major league baseball stadium together. Eleven down and nineteen to go! Garrett and Tara have two dogs, Wrigley and Rockne. (Go Cubs and Go Irish!) They will be welcoming an addition to their family in six short weeks with the arrival of their son! They are beyond excited and blessed to start this journey as parents. Other than her husband, dogs, and soon to be son, Tara loves spending time with her family (especially her 7 year old nephew), doing anything that involves being active, and attending any and all athletic events. She is very thankful to be in a profession that she loves waking up for every morning and even more so being at a school that makes enjoying that profession even easier!
