- Limit driving by carpooling, using public transportation, biking, or walking
- Run dishwashers and clothes washers only when full
- Seal containers of house hold cleaners, workshop chemicals and solvents, and garden chemicals to prevent compounds from evaporating into the air
- Choose environmentally friendly cleaners
- Conserve energy- turn off lights, computers and other appliances when not in use
